Meet the beloved pets whose personalities, loyalty, and love inspired the coffees we proudly share.
More than a name.
Behind every roast is a real story. Some are playful. Some are sentimental. Some are still unfolding every day. Together, they reflect what Blue Rock Coffee has always been about: family, warmth, connection, and creating something worth sharing.
Meet Maggie:
A gentle spirit remembered with love.
Maggie’s Light Roast is named in honor of our sweet girl Maggie, who gave our family more than 16 years of joy, laughter, and love.
She loved chasing soccer balls, playing in the snow, and eating just about anything except a salad. Her warm, sandy-orange coat inspired us to name our light roast after her.
Maggie passed away in 2025, but she will always be part of our family and part of Blue Rock Coffee.
Meet Rosie:
Playful, affectionate, and full of personality.
Rosie’s Medium Roast is named after our lovable goofball Rosie, who has everyone wrapped around her tail and knows it.
She is famous for avoiding trips outside, handing out constant kisses, and spending most of the day happily snoozing. But be careful if you get too close. You may find yourself pulled into an endless tug-of-war match or giving belly rubs if she decides you are worthy.
Meet Midnight:
Independent, observant, and always in charge.
Midnight is a seasoned traveler who has visited twelve states across the United States. She understands both English and Spanish, though she responds most reliably to anything that sounds like “treat.”
When she is not supervising the household, she conserves energy between naps while keeping a close eye on her cat, Scary Spice, whose treats she firmly believes are community property.
Meet Mo and Lola (The Cool Cats):
A bonded pair equal parts charm and chaos.
Mo and Lola are a sweet pair of sibling cats full of personality and affection. They like to keep their humans in sight at all times and are never shy about speaking up when they want attention.
Like any brother and sister, they have their occasional disagreements. But when the day winds down, these cool cats can always be counted on for cuddles and companionship.
Meet Kai:
Small in size, big in personality.
Kai is a sweet little companion with plenty to say. He loves playing with hair ties and is always ready for a bite of cheese.
A true professional napper, Kai’s favorite place is wherever his humans are, happily keeping them company throughout the day.
